Building Assessment & Site Evaluation

Its not always the case that architects are working with a blank canvas (or site). In some cases, sites have existing structures around which a client wishes to develop. In other cases, the project may call for partial or complete demolition of existing structures, or modification or renovation/upgrading of existing structures. In such cases, our work begins with an assessment of any existing structures on site (measuring up and drawing to scale) and an evaluation of the site itself (topography, access, orientation, etc.) in order for us to assess the best use of existing structures and the best use of the site to meet the needs of our client.
